“Together at the Cross” Mission Fills OLW Church
Despite wintry weather, Our Lady of the Wayside Church was full for the first night of the Multi-Parish Mission and the response and enthusiasm at the beginning of the week seemed certain to continue, and grow, as the week progressed.
Each of the four parishes had large contingents of faithful and clergy in attendance to hear Redemptorist Father Peter Schavitz – a native of the Northwest suburbs – deliver his powerful message. In addition to Our Lady of the Wayside, other parishes participating in the mission were St. James and St. Edna of Arlington Heights, and St. Mary of Buffalo Grove.
Besides the Mission, Father Schavitz spent time during the week visiting the other parishes and speaking at Masses.
