When Our church repair project entered February, we passed the one-third mark and that entitles all of us to breathe a sigh of relief.
Why? Because the first phase of a project such as this typically is the phase that reveals unanticipated or hidden problems that potentially could add extra costs - and extra days - to the project.
While there is no guarantee that we won’t face unforeseen delays, the indications now are very good that we will stay on - or slightly ahead - of the proposed re-opening of the Church in March - in time for Easter.
I realize this project has caused inconvenience for many OLW parishioners and we all appreciate your patience.
Our Lady Lady of the Wayside is a strong parish and I am very pleased (although not surprised) with the support our parishioners have provided, and I am confident will continue to provide.
I think we will all be pleased when we can open the doors to a beautifully refurbished church in about two months.
