"The Renewal Weekend"
What Is CRHP?
Have you been searching for a deeper relationship with God? Have you always wanted to become more involved in your parish but didn't know how? Then Christ Renews His Parish 2.0 is just what you're looking for! The CRHP process, centering around the Renewal Weekend, emphasizes continued growth in our daily Christian life and offers a unique opportunity to make new friends in our parish. Note that CRHP has been renamed "CRHP 2.0/The Welcome Retreat".
What Happens During the Weekend?
The Weekend is an opportunity to hear how Catholics function in our modern, complex, fast paced society. The Renewal Weekend provides an opportunity for individual spiritual growth through prayer and personal reflection. You will be sharing conversation and thoughts (as much or as little as each individual desires) with others in the parish who are as caught up as you are in the many demands of everyday life presented by families, society and jobs.
The Weekend may be an opportunity for you to respond to a closer and deeper relationship with Christ.
Who May Attend?
The CRHP Renewal Weekend is open to all Our Lady of the Wayside parishioners, age 18 or older.
When and Where Do These Weekends Take Place?

How Long Do the Weekends Last?
The Weekend begins at the school at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and ends by 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Guaranteed to be a memorable 31 hours!!!
Who Will Invite Me?
You will be invited by announcements at Mass, through the parish bulletin, or perhaps by someone in the parish who may know you. Individual invitations may also be made by the Invitations coordinators, provided they have had your name submitted to them by someone who thinks you might be interested in a Weekend.
If you have an interest in CRHP or feel this is a time in your life that you want or desire to strengthen your spiritual life, then take this opportunity to participate in a Weekend.
What About Sacraments?
Mass will be celebrated on Saturday or Sunday. An opportunity for Reconciliation will be provided for anyone who desires this sacrament.
Where Do I Sleep?
Sleeping accommodations are in the Parish Center. Rollaway beds are provided. You are asked to bring sheets or a sleeping bag and pillow, along with your own towel, soap and other toiletries you might need. A shower is available.
What About Meals?
Previous CRHP participants from Wayside provide meals. There will be opportunities during the Weekend for regular breaks for coffee, soft drinks and snacks.
If you have special dietary needs, please let us know when you register so we will be able to provide for your needs.
What Type of Clothes Do I Bring On the Weekend?
Casual and comfortable clothing is appropriate for both Saturday and Sunday.
Who Conducts the Weekend?
A CRHP team is made up of a Spiritual Director and people who have attended previous Weekends. Each team spends about six months in Formation to continue the process of presenting a Weekend to a new group of parishioners.
The Weekend can be taken as a renewal experience with no further commitments. However, many participants choose to join a new team in formation.
What Does A Weekend Cost?
To help defray the cost of the Weekend, we ask each participant and team member to donate, if possible, $65.00 toward the cost of beds, food, etc. If you are unable to pay, please do not let that stop you from attending. We welcome you to join us.
