RITE OF ACCEPTANCE

Pope Francis has said: "Let the risen Jesus enter your life. Welcome Him as a friend, with trust: He is life!"

On September 18th, three young adults began their journey of faith in R.C.I.A., in response to Pope Francis' above invitation. They have thus far experienced  topics such as prayer, the Lord's Prayer, the Bible, Mary and the rosary, faith and the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy.

On Sunday, November 11th at the 9:30  a.m. Mass they will receive a special welcome to Our Lady of the Wayside Community as they experience the first of three important rites: the Rite of Acceptance. We ask all of you to keep them and our R.C.I.A. Team and sponsors in your prayers.

Blessings.

WAYSIDE WEDNESDAY' CONTINUES TO GROW

Wayside Wednesday, OLW's relatively new weekly on-line newsletter, has taken significant steps forward to make it more attractive, more informative, and easier to reach for all OLW parishioners.

Wayside Wednesday is delivered (via e-mail to OLW parishioners who have provided the parish with their e-mail address (or addresses, in the case of multiple addresses within a family). It is targeted for delivery "around" 6:00 a.m. each Wednesday. (The time is not so rigid that "WW" might not be delayed slightly to include mention of an early Wednesday event.) But generally, in its short history, it has been distributed around 6:00 a.m.

(If you are not receiving Wayside Wednesday, please provide your e-mail address to the OLW e-mail system by going to…
"Mail Chimp" is a recognized e-mail processing system and e-mail addresses are not shared, other than within Our Lady of the Wayside Parish.)

If you haven't seen Wayside Wednesday (or aren't sure if you have but don't recall) you can find it by following the link to Wayside Wednesday by clicking on the Wayside Wednesday icon on the front page of the OLW website (see accompanying image).

AND DON'T FORGET THE OLW PHOTO GALLERY

And while you're checking out Wayside Wednesday, don't forget to look at the OLW Photo Gallery, which also has a link on the OLW Website.

The
Photo Gallery includes photos of many recent (and not-so-recent) events at Our Lady of the Wayside.

Included are photos from the recent Shine the Light Rally in Arlington Heights; the Living Rosary; Welcome to Father Vinod; St. Mark's Visit to OLW; the 2018 Parish Picnic; the Farewell to Father Louis; and many other events.

The Photo Gallery is usually updated several times each month. Wayside Parishioner (and Webmaster)
Andy Pozdol manages the
Photo Gallery.
