EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Our Lady of the Wayside will no longer be offering
Adoration on Wednesday afternoons. Instead each Thursday, beginning October 18, Eucharistic Adoration will immediately follow the 8:30 a.m. Mass for one hour. However, any funeral scheduled for a Thursday will take priority, and Eucharistic Adoration will not take place.

We, as Catholics, are blessed with the awesome to worship Jesus through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We ask you to please join us on Thursday mornings following Mass to share this opportunity to be with Jesus.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

On November 3rd at the 5:00 p.m. Mass we will remember our loved ones who have gone before us, especially those who have died in the past year. Families who have lost loved ones in the last year are invited to join in the entrance procession for this Mass. If you wish to participate in this way, please reserve your seats in the church and then meet in the Gathering Place at 4:45 p.m. to receive a remembrance candle and prepare for the procession. You are then invited to take the candle home with you after Mass. If you have any questions, contact Dan McMahon in the parish office at 847-253-5353 or

Musicministry @olwparish.org.

PETS WERE BLESSED -
AND RAINED ON
AT OLW PET-BLESSING

Umbrellas were a necessary accessory as about a dozen OLW parishioners brought their pets to the Church for the annual Blessing of Pets October 6.

OLW Deacon Pete LeTourneau, accompanied by his wife (and umbrella-holder) Jan
LeTourneau, administered the blessing to a variety of dogs (and at least one cat - barely visible in the rear of the group photo).

PARISHIONERS REMINDED OF
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and OLW parishioners have been reminded of it by signs, such as this one on a tree in the Court Yard last weekend.
