Subject: Annual Facilities Scheduling

It is time again to begin to plan for meeting places for Parish committees, programs, and major events from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. Packets of information pertaining to scheduling and set up of events have recently been mailed to those who have scheduled events in the past. Additional packets are available in the Parish Center. This information is self-explanatory.

Please remember that every activity (including room preparation and clean up) requiring use of any Parish property must be scheduled. All space required for the activity (gym, kitchen, hallways, etc.) must be reserved prior to use. This year we again are requesting that you submit your anticipated set up/take down requests at the same time you submit your request to use the facility.

Please review the following timeline:

  • Scheduling for 2017-2018 began May 26 and ends June 23, 2017.

  • Requests received after June 23 will be held pending processing of all requests already received.

  • Confirmation/conflict letters will be sent to you by July 26.

  • If there is a conflict, changes to original requests are due back to Mrs. Chris Otero by July 31, 2017

  • If you submitted a change to your original request, final schedule confirmation response letters will be sent out by August 14.

  • On August 14 we begin processing late requests.

  • Confirmation/conflict letters to late requests (those received after June 23) will be sent out by August 21.

Remember: Turn in the fully completed form(s) to the Business Office in the Parish Center by
Friday, June 23, 2017.
Incomplete forms will have to be returned.

Finally, thank you for your efforts on behalf of this parish and your cooperation with adhering to our facilities usage procedures and policies.

ADORATION

On May 24th, there will not be the regular afternoon adoration in the church, due to the school's May Crowning cerermony.

**Also please note that beginning May 17th, adoration will return to its regular time of 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons.

If you would kindly consider volunteering for these
positions you will find it a very rewarding and uplifting experience to instruct the young people of our parish in their Catholic faith. The books are very helpful with lesson plans and instruction guides. Sister Adrienne and Sister Joan provide additional support to guide the Catechists in this ministry. Please call 847-398-5011 or email
Repsecretary @olwparish.org for more information or to volunteer. Thank you.

FATHER MACKIN CENTER ALIVE WITH THE 'SOUND OF MUSIC'

Our Lady of the Wayside's Father Mackin Center was full both nights as students performed the "Sound of
Music" May 12 and 13.

Jackie Sloan was "Maria", a role she seemed born to play.

The "Nuns Chorus" set the tone by
demonstrating the beautiful voices of OLW students.

The stage hands wore black and seemed almost invisible but these OLW students changed the scenery in minutes.

FATHER MACKIN CENTER ALIVE WITH THE 'SOUND OF MUSIC'

Our Lady of the Wayside's Father Mackin Center was full both nights as students performed the "Sound of
Music" May 12 and 13.

Maria (Jackie Sloan) meets Captain Von Trapp (Jack Lynch).

Sunday mornings are perfect times to stop by the Drop-Off bin to make non-perishable food donations to OLW's partner parish, St. Mark's in
Chicago. The Drop-Off bin is open every Saturday-Sunday near the Gathering Place.
