SCHOOL FUNDRAISERS

We are grateful to our PARISHIONERS who participate in the school's fundraising events. Your continued support helps build community within our parish. Most recently, we were pleased to encourage more parishioners to attend, donate, or bid from home during our annual Gala. Also, thanks to those who donate their Box Tops in the collection box in the back of church as well as those collected from school, the Box Tops program raised $620 in the Winter Contest. And finally, our recent FSA Supper Club at Portillo's raised nearly $400 in three short hours. Thank you for your continued support of our students, Catholic education, and the entire parish community.

Join us once a month for an evening of yoga, prayer, guided meditation and peaceful music. We will use yoga postures, movement and breathing to relax our bodies and minds in preparation for prayer and Scripture-based meditations. The next session is on April 5th from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Gathering Place. All ability levels are welcome, as the postures and movements can be adapted to what each individual is able to do. Please bring either a yoga mat or a beach towel.

OLW SHAWL MINISTRY LADIES WORK FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

For almost eight years, a small group of Our Lady of the Wayside women has been gathering in the Parish
Center once a week to put their talents together to benefit people who are in need.

The OLW Shawl Ministry began in 2009 when a handful of OLW parishioners who knit or crochet banded together to make shawls.

Eight years later, 32 members of the ministry continue to meet at the OLW Parish Center every Thursday
afternoon to chat, but also to work. Since they began, the ladies have created more than 500 shawls, lap robes and baby blankets.

Shawls are given to those of any age wherever there is a need. The need can be not only for comfort after a loss, during an illness and recovery, in times of stress, or for the aged and lonely, but also in times of happiness such as a birth or Baptism.

All parishioners are welcome to join the Shawl Ministry. Interested parishioners, or those who would like to
donate yarn or money, can contact Kit, Winnie or Patsy.

OLW Associate Pastor, Father Louis
Golamari put on his teacher's suit a few weeks ago when he hosted OLW 7th Graders for a class session.

Father Louis and OLW Pastor, Father Ed
Fialkowski enjoy teaching the OLW students and the students enjoy both the lessons and messages from the priests, and they also enjoy the break in the routine by getting out of their normal classrooms.
