RITE OF ELECTION

Sunday, February 26, was a memorable day for Our Lady of the Wayside parish, and particularly for our members of the parish who took major steps toward becoming Catholics. The four have been preparing for several months and last Sunday (February 26) was a memorable day for all, probably only to be surpassed by the actual welcome into the Church as Catholics during Easter weekend.

The four, who were accompanied to Holy Name Cathedral by Father Louis Golamari, the Spiritual Director of the team are: Maureen M. and Samantha S., in the front row, and James T. and Joyce Y. behind.

Also participating was OLW Deacon Michael Madison, shown during the entrance procession with Cardinal Blase Cupich. Deacon Madison is a sponsor and also played major roles throughout the R.C.I.A. class training  program.

OLW SCHOOL ANNUAL GALA
A Night For the Blue & White

OLW School's Gala logo, in solid (but thawing) ice, was one of the attractions at the Annual fund-raising dinner held
February 25th at the Cotillion in Palatine.

More than 300 OLW parishioners, plus graduating eighth graders joined Pastor Father Ed Fialkowski, Associate Pastor Louis Golamari, and retired resident Father Dan Brady for a festive - and profitable - night for OLW School.

Father Ed and Deacon-candidate Paul Onischuk had big smiles at the OLW School's "Night for the Blue and White" on Saturday, February 25.

Members of OLW School's class of 2017 were recognized prior to the live auction at last Saturday's "Night for the Blue and White," the major annual fund-raising  event for OLW School.

See more Photos from "A Night For The Blue and White" on OLW's Facebook site: www.facebook.com/WaysideParish.

TRI-PARISH MISSION
"Fullness of Purpose"

OLW Pastoral Associate Mandy Dillon, left and Tony Russo, Chairperson of Worship and Spiritual Life, took a few minutes Sunday night to visit with Ken Yasinski, who conducted the misson sponsored by OLW, St. James and St. Edna at St. Edna Parish in Arlington Heights. The youthful looking Yasinski, who lives in Saskatchewan, Canada, had large audiences for each of the three nights of the mission.
