ST. MARK'S MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE

When: Sunday, January 14th from 8 a.m. to noon
Where: Back Parking Lot Garage

What: Non-perishable food items are being collected  to benefit
parishioners at our Sharing Parish, St. Marks.

Most Needed Items:
Canned Fruits, Canned Vegetables, Dry Rice and Beans,
Cannned Meat/Tuna, Cereal

Items can also be dropped off in the bin outside the gathering place on Saturdays and Sundays.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS


Tuesday, January 8
The following R.E.P. Grades have class:

Grades 1-4 - 4:00-5:15 p.m.

Families will receive a flier for the R.E.P. Pizza night, Tuesday, February 13 in the Father Mackin Center Gym.

Grades 7-8 - 7:00-8:30 p.m.
8th graders will be measured for their Confirmation gowns.

Pizza fliers will also be emailed home to R.E.P. families. Please return them to the R.E.P. office as soon as possible to allow for ordering and family counts. Children will have an opporutnity to use their creativity at a Lego
Table, write letters to military troops, and enter competition for a basketball free throw contest.

OLW Associate Pastor Father Louis Golamari celebrated Mass in the Gathering Place and distributed Holy Communion to Ministers of Care who weekly bring Holy Communion to the residents at Church Creek, assisted care living community.

WORSHIP AND SPIRITUAL LIFE

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD

Sunday Readings and Homily adapted for ages 3 to 10 on most Sundays at the 9:45 Mass before the Liturgy of the Word.  The children are invited to participate. The children will return for the remainder of the Mass. No registration is required!

BIBLE STUDY

Focus on the readings for the coming Sunday and their context in scripture. No registration or fee. Come when your schedule permits. Friday mornings in the Gathering Place 9:30 - 11:15 a.m.

ROSARY PRAYER GROUP
Meets in the Seton room (#201) every Monday at 7:00 p.m. Contact - Chris

SHAWL MINISTRY

This prayerful ministry offers knitted or crocheted shawls to those who are in need of comfort physically, emotionally and spiritually. We meet every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Parish Center - Cabrini Room. Questions contact Kit-847-398-1940, Winnie-847-392-1578, Patsy-847-394-9351.

This Ministry offers families in their time of sorrow a continental breakfast in the Gathering Place or sit down luncheon in the Rectory Meeting Room. For further information contact the parish office.

MINISTRY OF CARE

OLW has trained Ministers of Care who are available to visit and bring communion to those parishioners who are homebound. If you are interested in receiving communion or being part of this ministry contact Kathy O'Neill, 847-253-5353, ext. 238.
